Harry http://behret.smugmug.com/NANPA member How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
A guy could go off you, you know - the heron is my nemisis, I get close / set up the shot and . . . . . they turn their back to me and fly off in the other direction.
One of the best GBH shots of it landing that I have seen. The red bellied picture is great as well showing its little home. Nice job handling the white on that great egret.

One day she will be mine [sigh]
Really nice set.

Thanks, David.
Wait for them to come to you. Set up by a nest or feeding spot...they always return to each.
