If you are talking about a slideshow on your homepage, that is normally defined in your Bio. Right now, all you have in your Bio is this:

There is no slideshow definition there. I you want a homepage slideshow, you will have to put the slideshow definition back in the bio per the tutorial.

i just want to know where it went - it HAS been there for over a year - i certainly did not change it, which is my point. what happened to it, if i didn't do it?

I have no idea. I don't work with Smugmug so don't have access to anything beyond what's in your web page and what I read here in the forum. Did you, by any chance, play with the new Easy Customizer?
