Hi guys-
I was so pleased to hear that a really good friend from HS found the love of her life... She has held out for the right one for so many years, and I am just pleased that she finally found him!

Meet my longtime friend, Kate:
1.

2. The two of them are intellectuals- she is the governor's state speech writer and he works for a congressman... and so they wanted to include their love of books and the written word into their photos. We met at the library.

3. The library was by far the largest prop I have used to date. :rofl

5.

7. There was a flag outside... perfect for them and their professions.

8. It was fun to hang out with an old friend and meet her new love... :lust

This one has interesting perspective since it is a curved brick wall.

C & C welcome...

    Very Nice Heather!!!

I like em'! All are good but 1, 3, 5 are the favs 1 because of the expression and the comp against that beautiful rich colored wall, and the other two because of the perspective. I like how you shot wide with the negative space but you also tilted slightly down in 3 and shot slightly lower and tilted up in 5. At least I think that is what I'm seeing... Very nice!!! I'm going to have to try that! I guess I like 7 a lot too... I like how you posed her on her toes leaning in. I'll steal that for sure!!!

I would say in 4 the flare isn't so great and 6 looks like a flat wall to me. Exposures and processing are as delicious as always. Good stuff girly girl! Way to serve it up right for your old friend!

Thanks Matt! I had a bit of a hard time drawing him out... She is Greek to the core and has the full package including expression and personality... He isn't even close and it was a little difficult to make him not be overshadowed by her vivacity.

What a stunning woman and beautiful couple!

Usually, I can find one or two images in a posted set that aren't quite up the level of the others. Not so here. These are just .... WOW!bowdown.gifthumb.gif

I really like 1, what a look. Maybe a bit tighter crop from the left and above.
I like the lighting, some of them are a bit to much flash...to my eye.
I like the creative compositions in several of these.
Library for a prop, very cool idea, especially for these two.
Nice series, I bet they were very happy with them.
    She is a knockout.

They are all good (as usual!) but I LOVE the first one! Wow, it's really great!

Being Greek myself I am partial the Orthodox weddings - are we going to see shots in a few months?

I'm so happy to see the full set at last! I saw the one you posted on FB and was hoping the rest would appear here at some point... :D

I think 1, 2 and 5 are my faves - the intimacy of 2 is really wonderful, and the others are just such fun! The classic Heatherfeather touch of showing the personalities in the images. thumb.gif

Also have to say that her outfit works a treat - I would never expect giant polka dots to photograph this well but, particularly with the splash of red from the shoes, it's really a great choice for her, and with the plain black sweater you could vary the mood just by changing how you framed it. Smart cookies, both of you!

Do you mean governor, as in Sarah Palin? (your being from Alaska, and all)

    If so, cool.

Sara-Yes Sarah Palin, but my friend didn't do any of Palin's campain stuff since she works for the State... I guess it is a conflict of interest. But she travels with her most of the time on state stuff. Pretty neat! I am doing another wedding for Palin's press secretary. Small world, huh.

Jeff- 7 is my favorite. And I just got her invite in the mail with a print of that one tucked in... looks great!

    SteveS- Thanks for the thumbs!

dank- yeah, I attempted to burn it out, but now see I missed a bit.

DJ-S1 -No, they are not orthodox in the slightest. The wedding will be at a little chapel by the sea. Gonna be lovely with perhaps some high profile guests.

Zoomer- She is pretty cute! Very classic looks! And I do have to say I agree with you in part about the flash. I was trying a few new things and some worked, some didn't. But that is always the way it is. iloveyou.gif

diva- I sent her my list of do's and don'ts for clothing choices and she called me up a bit later and asked about the dots on her dress... I had to say "yes" of course that would be okay... And they turned out to be perfect for them! I just love the style with the red shoes. But her poor little tootsies were killing her afterwards.

I love these, it's really great to incorporate something like the library which has such meaning to them, and you really utilized it well :) I love their expressions and how varied they are, it gives a great look into their personalities.

    Sara-Yes Sarah Palin, .

    Cool.

Love the last shot with the polka-dot dress and the shoes.
