Hiding a Category?

Is there a way to change an Entire category to private? If so I am missing it and I apologize but I have been staring for a bit now. I just dont want to have to go through and remember on each folder in that category to mark it private. Galleries I see but not Categories. Thanks for any help!

    Sorry, but no - not at this time. Marking all the galleries inside of the category private should make it so that the containing category will not show up though.

    ahh I didnt realize if they were all hidden the category would be hidden. That makes it workable at least. Thanks for the reply!
