Contact cleaning?

Can I clean the contacts with a pensil eraser like you can with batteries?



I found my focus issue I have dirty contacts.

    Yes, if you are careful and don't let the crumbs fall into your lens barrel or onto your rear lens element.

    I might prefer to use a cotton swab just barely, ( JUST BARELY ) moistened with a drop of isopropyl alcohol myself. JUST BARELY MOISTENED, not dripping wet.

    Now I know your messing with me, I was reading over at Canon usa, in the service page and they said don't "EVER" moisten anything and try to clean the contacts.

    They said it about 4 or 5 times.
