The Point: confluence of Oak Creek and the Verde River

Well, there's nothing quite losing a job in the horrible Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa Texas) to get me to beat feet outa there. As long as I have to be unemployed in the "worst recession since the Great Depression", I may as well ENJOY it...back in the Verde Valley, Arizona!

I've always wanted to share this: across the river from Cottonwood and down a ways around Cornville, there's this one point which overlooks the confluence of Oak Creek (which flows through Sedona [do a search for my post 'Sedona from Airport Hill' for some serious rock formations]) and the Verde River.
