Wood chips, au Natural

Taking a couple of muttlies on a walk (to roll in deer feces, of course) along the Verde River, I encountered some very fresh signs of beaver activity. I have yet to see any beavers around here (I've seen some HUGE ones in north-eastern Navajo Nation in Tsaille Lake), they're around.

There's no way that a rabbit or a nutria did this kind of damage to a tree a foot in diameter:

    Now that reminds me of a B-movie I never bothered to watch: 'Night of the Lepus', about giant rabbits gone ape-sh*$ :yikes

    Reminds me of Monty Pythons "The holy Grail" and the killer bunny in that movie.

    Not that that bunny was large or anything, I guess I just like Monty Python.

    I've only seen that movie in an "MST3K" episode… Wonderful!
