First post here...C&C most appreciated

This is my first post on this forum....I am not so good on the post processing side of things, so would really like some feedback as to what I could do to improve them (I don't trust my eyes, so need some others):D
These were not taken with a macro, however, just yesterday I got my first macro lens, and am anxious to get going with it!

welcome Karin, good first shots, #1 seems to have best focus.
#2 would have been better to just have stamens in clear focus.

Just make a HUGE poster of that first shot and frame it

Thanks for commenting Phil....I wasn't sure what others would think of my focusing choice on #2, I actually did that on purpose, so I appreciate your feedback!

Like both shots,
Only critique is that both seem a bit tight in the frame ?

Thanks Brian, I think I have more room to play with on the originals,
so I'll try to rework the crops.
