    I have a Canon 28-135mm IS USM lens which I use 90% of the time (I occasionally use a Sigma 80-400 for long shots). I wouldn't mind replacing my 28-135 with an equivalent "L" lens ... but the only one I know of that covers that range is the $2500 28-300 "L" IS USM lens, which is a lot heavier (not to mention, rather expen$ive).

    If Canon comes out with an "L" series lens in that range (or a decent replacement with equivalent or better optics in a wider zoom range in an EF-S mount), I'll consider grabbing one and parting with my 28-135. In the meantime, you won't be able to pry the 28-135 away from me with a crowbar mwink.gif.
