I just picked up some new gear to prepare for a shoot at Fenway Park in a couple of weeks where I will need to shoot 50+ photos with the world series trophy and then print 5x7 copies of each shot on-site within 2 hours. I had been wanting to get a new tripod so I am wicked psyched about this new rig...it works really well. :clap :clap

    Wicked looking rig!

How stable is the tripod if you remove the camera, but leave the laptop?

BTW, congrats on the gig thumb.gif

Thanks RWells. It is very stable partly due to the weight of the overall righ which is fairly beefy and also the fact that I setup the crossbar to be over two legs and not in a center weak point between legs.

    Howdy Randy,

That sure looks like a neat set-up, and should really do the job.

Kind of neat being about to shoot and print the pics for them that quickly, very well thought out!!!

Let us know how it goes!!
    Take care,

Thanks Craig. I'm excited about the shoot and to see how it all works under the gun. Fun to try though :)clap.gif

Nice gear--hope it all goes well for you on the day. Sounds like a challenging but fun assignment. Who are you shooting for?

I'm enjoying following your activities at Fenway and with the trophy! :D

Thanks redleash. I'm shooting for a company who is holding a their event at Fenway. It's one of those where you go and listen about their product for a few minutes and then they do a tour of Fenway along with letting you shoot pics with the trophy. Hopefully I'll get to shoot with both the '04 and the '07 trophies together. It is going to be fun though.
