Cannot Crop Thumbnails

I have copied some photos from another gallery into this gallery:

www.StudioVoxPop.com/SamplePortraits

If you scroll to the bottom you can see the photos I added because they do not have square thumbnails. Despite repeated attempts, I have only been able to crop one of these photos to 1X1. For the record, I am clicking on the image - Going to tools > More > Crop Thumbnail - Selecting the Crop Ratio of 1X1 - Moving the crop into place - Hitting Save Crop - Hitting Return to Gallery. When I get back to the gallery, no new crop.

This has happened to me in the past too. Any ideas?

Justin

    Hi Justin,

Wow what a great gallery and beautiful portraits! I'm sorry to hear that the crop isn't working as you expected. I see in your Customize Gallery Settings you do have it set properly to make your thumbnails square as you upload fresh ones, but this may not work if you're moving photos between galleries. But note that you can also make multiple thumbs square at once:

Tools > Many Photos > More > Adjust thumbnails

Make sure that all of the photos you want to change over are highlighted in red, then click Save.

Let us know if this still doesn't work for you.

Thanks for your help! Changing all of the photos at once worked but then, of course, I still had to go back to each photo and adjust the thumbnail view but this time it worked!

    Have a great weekend,

    Justin

This has been a problem reported in the Bug forum. I found that to get the
crop and zoom on the moved photo do it to the 2nd copy before moving it.
