I want to restrict the type of prints available

Right now I'm exploring which service I'll use to produce prints of my photos. This is not for family snapshots, but rather for fine art photography.

First, let me say I love the appearance of my smugmug galleries and I especially love the depth of support both in the forums and via email. Bravo people!

But I must say I'm a bit taken aback by the range of options available for printing. I really don't want one of my photos being sold for a couple of dollars in a 4 x 6 inch size. First, that makes it extremely hard for me to crop them appropriately.

When I look at deviantart.com, I see a pitiful gallery but wonderful printing options.

I'm testing there also and I see three sizes, 24x36, 20x30 and 12x18 ranging from $90 to $24. Framing is also available, from $60 to $90.

Don't get me wrong, you can get a 4x6 there, but it is sorta hidden and tucked away.

How can I make "proper" sizes the visible ones? Also, is framing available?

Thank you!

Paul

When you are selling with a pro account, you an determine what products are offered. If you don't want a 4x6 offered, you just set it's price to $0 and it will not be offered for sale. You can do the same for any size or any finish. You can control it at several levels too - for your whole site, per gallery or per image.

    Hi Paul!

I'm assuming you have a pro account? When you go in to set your pricing you can choose which items to allow your customers to see/buy. Any item that you don't want to offer just put a price of $0.00 and it will be hidden from your customers. More on pricing can be found here -> http://smugmug.com/help/print-pricing

Mounting and framing is available through ImageKind, but they won't be in your shopping cart that way. -> http://www.smugmug.com/prints/catalog/P#More

No, I have the second level account. It sounds like I need a Pro account to do this. I don't mind paying the money if my stuff sells but I have no idea if my stuff will sell!

    Ok, thanks all!
