I had some time to kill before sunset so I decided to spend it here wandering around.

So, with 20 minutes to spare I took off and drove the five miles to where I had my sunset shot planned. ... Somedays, I swear ...

Thank you Awais. I'm going to go back and catch the location in some weather. A lot of potential back in there.

My favorite is the first; I like those colors! And it looks very interesting around there.

    Cool shots, Walter! thumb.gif

Are those natural caves, or mine entrances there?

Thanks. I wish I would have gotten there earlier and stayed later. Some of the canyons went back aways.

Thanks. I'm not sure if they're mine entrances. They are man-made though. The tuff is easy to carve into and in the district people would live in some of these caves. I had shot one of the caves about 5-6 years ago that an Indian chief is known to have lived in. Vandalism in the area has increased dramatically in the time since and there was a door installed and locked to keep people out. I'm hoping to get back out before the rest of these doorways are blocked and the area is fenced off.
