The lens is exactly as it looked when we bought it 5 months ago. There are no marks on it at all and it functions perfectly.
Unfortunately my only other lens is a 600mm, so I can't take pictures of it! If you REALLY need to see it, I will take a picture with my daughter's p&s in the morning, but there is nothing to distinguish this from a brand new lens.
I have had a UV filter on it and will include it with the sale.
