We went for a walk the other day at the RBG in Burlington Ontario. The flowers are not really in bloom yet (or at least, not much) but the birds and small wildlife were well in evidence. I hope you enjoy this sampling of what we saw.
The chipmunks were everywhere and quite friendly. They would almost come up and eat from your hand.
The cardinals were also quite cheeky and came over for a visit. We were very lucky to get good light and no rain on this visit.
and lastly, the red winged blackbirds were much in evidence.

Not always possible...but...getting the whole tail is important in how bird shots appear.
I agree, it makes a huge difference and is one of the disappointing things about some of the ones I took that day. I am in the position of just learning my new 70-300 lens and still miss upon occasion.
