I think this is a pretty cool shot with a lot of great elements!

The glow of the masking around the rock is a bit distracting, but the other thing that I think doesn't work is the center composition. I see where you're going with that: the land forms in the distance on the right battle with the smaller rock details on the left. What to do? Hmm.

i'm inclined to agree with schmoo - the sky is dramatic and the light was neat. the problem is the composition, and i can't see a good way to crop it, without ending up with a large rock 'hogging' the space. cropping on the right provides too much negative space on the left, and would then need a another smaller rock/boat/something to balance. looks like you had a great idea but need to spend more time there. maybe some other enlightened soul can help with this. sarah

Wil is this the only post you can't see photos from, or are other threads displaying images ok?

But I can see photos on all the other threads just fine.

Now I see it. Weird.

The island is too centered in teh shot, and at least on my monitor there appears to be some dark sploches on both sides of the island in the clouds and water? Unfinished masking maybe?

I checked the gallery settings and I see that this image now has "Hide Photo" checked in the gallery now.
