Looks like the D200 and the Tokina 12-24 make a very sharp combo. I might put that on my lens list for my D200 as well.
I really sweated out deciding between that and the Sigma 10-20. I felt that the Tokina was sharper, so I went with it. Unfortunately a common problem is some pretty significant CA/Fringing in high-contrast areas with the Tokina. For the most part it isn't a big problem, and Nikon NX2 (if you use it) takes it all out.
In retrospect the 10mm would have been really cool for things like this image, but I don't have any regrets.
