Does anyone here use Giottos ballheads? How does it feel? Will it last a long time? Is it bombproof? I am not impressed with the Bogen/Manfrotto ballheads and cannot really lay down coin for a Kirk, or Really Right Stuff or Arca?:dunno :huh

Rethink RRS. Great quality and therefore, value. You get what you pay for, but with RRS you get at LEAST what you pay for.

Which Bogen/Manfrotto heads are you displeased with? They have a ton of options.

Mostly not ga-ga over the fit and finish.:puke1 I have held and used Bogen ball heads and noticed the ball is smaller in size and rougher than the RRS or Arca or Kirk. I also don't care for the profile of the quick release on Bogens.

I have a friend who has a Kirk, and I love it. I also like the RRS ones that have a side 90 degree and a front 90 degree slot. There is also the fact that these brands have a much stouter pin on top of the ball itself.

Oh well, looks like I just need to save for a few more months. ne_nau.gif
