OK... If I get the silent treatment on these flower pictures, I'll take the hint and stop taking pictures of flowers and move on down the list.
Here are some from the NW Cascade Mountains.
Columbia Lily
Red Columbine
Bunchberry - "Ground Dogwood"
Queen's Cup
OK... That's enough for now. Thanks for looking.
peace.

If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.

Apart from that, nice compostioin, nice exposure and very pretty flowers.

# one has a lot of lovely color and to me nice composition.. I agree with rah that the others are a little dark.
I posted these from my smugmug account, and I have to say, they look more grainy than the original.
Anyhoo, thanks Lynn and Rah... This is what I needed to hear.
Peace.

These are not really wildflowers but they illustrate the point. First, untouched, straight from the camera, converted to jpeg with Rawshooter Essentials:
Now with increased exposure, fill light, shadow and highlight contrast, saturation and sharpness:
I don't know if I over did it in PS raw or what. So raw scares me a bit. On this trip into the woods shooting raw whould have given me less shots. So, I took more in jpg than raw.
I hope to go back to this location and make another attempt.
Thanks.
peace.

I agree that the RAW files eat up memory on your card. With a 1GB card, I've not yet had a problem but I probably will eventually.
We each have to stick with what we find comfortable, however. But I find it practically impossible to correct underexposure in PS (I'm a complete novice), but very straightforward working with the RAW file in RS :.
Cheers.
