I'm torn between 1 and 3. Really like your processing on both. I think the gargoyle exudes 'energy' a bit better.

I'm really liking this latest version of the bull silhouette.

The HDR shot of the orthodox church is also very appealing. The theme is subtle in that one, but I can see it. The reflection on the stone stairs looks awesome. That photo tilts a bit to the right, so if you're considering switching your entry to that one, you'll need to fix that.

The last one is just OK. The red isn't doing much for me, though. A grainy B&W shot might bring the creepy vibe out a bit more.

You're on a roll with all these photos. I wish I were as far along as you are. :cry

So, which one of the 3 should I choose, if any... ???

hey photobug,,,

you always make this a challenge... you have a great talent..

My honest opinion... is this..... I liked the first bull submission..."the original one" the orange one.., then you reworked the sky on the orange one to get ride of the blueish and it took the impact away in its sky.. so what I am saying is on the very first one you submitted, I liked it best and the sky and pose of the bull looked more powerful...

the bull in this red one, looks too posed.. whereas on the original one, it looks like you caught him unaware breaching the hillside in a powerful stance..

the church is beautiful, but does not fit the theme well..

and the gargoyle, well, I love that one the same as I liked your original bull submission..

there is a lot of strength in #3..... you are so fortunate to live in a place with so many awesome subjects to shoot and your very talented at capturing them...

your further along than me,,, I have to start all over and I am struggling with this energy one for some reason.... could be because I live way out in the countryside...I am thinking about making a trip to Nashville...

So... love #3 and your original bull.. I just wish you could have taken out the bluish on the foreground without changing the sky on the first one.. I think you nailed it with that one... but #3 here is not bad at all and it is very powerful..

I see what you mean with the sky, yes I noticed that I lost a lot of its vibration with the modifications.

Also the more I look at the same image I feel tired, loosing enthusiasm and missing things...

I don't live here, but in Canada. I just happen to be here (long story).
Not too much time for photos tough, because I have to work too (fortunately on the computer).

Nashville is a good place (I've been there and felt a lot of good energy), but country can be as good.
Just make your mind up about what you want and you will find it.

I'm really liking the gargoyle Bug. I also like the church but as Kat mentioned, it really doesn't fit the theme. You may want to adjust the pic though... seems like it is leaning to the right a bit. It could be the distortion of the lens though.

But as for the contest, I vote for the gargoyle.

sounds like you travel a lot... great for photo ops..

oh yeah and Nashville, yes, lots of energy there too.. I am thinking about shooting the hard rock cafe...maybe even the skyline..

Your right about the country... if I slow down and focus... I am thinking about a nice huge bonfire in the back yard.. maybe that will give some results..

wanted to shot the zoom on the sun like you suggested but no sunset today, it was all grey and hazy, no orange.. will try that tomorrow..

I think the jumping girl fits the theme. I love the photo.

The flower looks static to me and I personally don't care for the post processing (assuming that is the reason for the white edges on a lot of the leaves).

Take with a big grain of salt, though. Others may well (and often do) disagree.

Overall, Tatiana, I must say that you have a lot of wonderful photos to choose from for the Energy challenge, which in some ways makes your task harder. Impressive work!!

I cant wait to see what I can get, However.......................... it is going to be raining as usual, but I am running out of time, so I have to shoot for it.. maybe the mist will add to the light?
I am hoping they have the Parthenon lit up...yippiee..crossing my fingers..
