I'm sure this has happened to you all before. You've got a cheap lens that you picked up at some point and mostly you forget all about it. One day you slap it on the camera for some tooling around and when you look at the shots you're stunned by the quality. For me today it was the Minolta 28-105 f/3.5-4.5. I bought this lens as a mistake (I was going for the 24-105) and so I've never paid any attention to it. Tonight it happened to be the first thing I grabbed from the camera bag when we had the kid in the highchair for the first time. I gotta admit I'm really pleased with the colors and the sharpness.

Whataddya think? This is handheld 1/90 f/8 ISO 200
