Perth, Tasmania - Australia Pano

Had to travel to the north of the state the other day, decided to stop at a little spot on the way back home. This was taken approximately 1pm but as you can see the fog was still very evident. I was hoping for a nicer day as there are some wonderful spots between Hobart and Launceston to get some shots.

This was a seven shot pano, I am still processing it (or will be when I get home). I only have DPP and photoshop elements 2 on the computer at work.

I'm a big fan of creating panorama's and this is really nice. were all the shots portrait or landscape. Just asking because i don't see where you'd fit seven shots in this one panorama.

Either way its a beautiful scene.
    May I take your picture?

Hi there Mushy, they were all landscape, should have mentioned that there is a lot of overlap between shots (approximately half to two thirds overlap).

I will be hopefully getting some more panos tommorrow and will work on only having 1 quarter overlap for each shot.

Thanks for looking and the comments.

Thanks Maxine, I have done a couple of pano's but the results have been very inconsistant. But am having a blast practicing and trying things out.

Very nice Tassie thumb.gifthumb.gif I envy people who can do really nice pano's like this.

As Skippy wrote, I'd really like to try this too, but I have a hard enough time with one image per frame....lol I couldn't imagine trying to stitch multiple images together :uhoh

If I get CS2 I might have to give it a shot. I'll keep my expectations low though.... lol3.gif

G'day Steve, I am happy with the progress. Photomerge in photoshop is a wonderful tool. The most difficult part I have found is the processing and getting it to merge seamlessly. This is made easier (at least for me) by having a large overlap on each of the images.

Thanks for the comments and glad you enjoyed the image. I am heading out to the forest today and planning to try a couple more panos.

    Cheers
