I've been lusting after the Sigma 8mm fisheye for some time now. When I found out they jacked their prices up, I decided to buy one before I could no longer afford it. I took it out this week for some night shooting around Providence, Rhode Island. Comments and suggestions welcomed. Thanks for looking!

These are great Bryan. clap.gif I was thinking about a fisheye myself. Did you put this on your 40d? Did you look at any other len's before choosing this one?

Thanks! These were taken with my 40d. I looked at several lenses, read a ton of reviews and looked at a ton of images. I decided on the 8mm because of the 180 degree field of view. I've read it will give a perfectly round image on a full frame sensor, so if/when I upgrade I can still use it. The Sigma 4.5mm fish is designed for the APS-C sensor and will give a round image, but it was way more money. The 10mm fish wasn't "fishy" enough for me, and the Canon 15mm is not fishy at all on a APS-C sensor.

Love the fish!! And night shots are totally the way to go with this thing. I really love the last one in particular of the bridge, because it looks like it's straddling the entire view. Such a typical shape is bent in an unexpected way. Gorgeous thumb.gif

Very cool! 8mm is crazy - even on a crop body. I need to use my fish more, these are all great.
