Well that explains why it's always orange there... :D

That is wicked looking... I just want to keep looking at it... nice shot. Is the plant in a valley of sorts.

I think I would shoot some more of that thing... what a subject.

It isn't in a valley.... I shot it with my 55x200 set on 200mm. I shot it from where I live.
I thought about shooting more pictures much closer, but ruled it out. I don't want to have to explain to the FBI why I'm taking pictures of a nuclear power plant, to show on something called smumug for grins.....:D

    Hi Azzaro,

Man, I'd get out while the getting's good. Just kidding, however, that sky does look downright dangerous. You have a wonderful capture here. I told you to watch out....National Geographic is going to be beating on your door.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Good Ol' Palo Verde nuclear generating station.

All three units going?! Now THAT'S a change.

Isn't it comforting to know that there's about a half-million gallons of water evaporating--each HOUR--from those stacks...in the desert? :crazy

That is a bunch of water...... I think I read some where that it is waste water from local cities that is used..... All the rest of the nuclear plants are by a large body of water. THANKS FOR LOOKING IN..... azzaro

That thing must be really close to you. Using local waste water is a good recycling method for out in your area.

Nice photo ... bummer tho you can't get closer ... but understand why you wouldn't want to :D
