Egret Question

Egrets are so common in Florida that I don't pay much attention to them. This one, shot in Mayport (near Jacksonville Beach) has a green condition that I've never noticed on another Egret. Also, I can't figure out that white dot below the eye. No flash used, and the same dot is in the same place in each of six other shots taken from different angles trying to avoid the problem of shooting into the sun.

The green around the eyes means that the bird is in breeding form.
I am not sure about the white dot, though.

I'm thinking the dot might be a reflected glint of the sun from the eye, considering it's that bright.
    Creativity's hard.
