Bridge Demolition

Over the last few weeks the Pomeroy, Ohio to Mason, West Virginia bridge is being demolished by explosives. I have been there for the first two implosions and put together a couple of animated gifs from the still series of shots.

Here is the demolition of the centerspan.


Here is the West Virginia side.

I use gimp for editing and you put each picture on a layer and save it as a gif file. During the saving process it asks if you want to flatten the image of make an animation. If you choose animation, it lets you select the amount time between frames and if you want it to loop.

Thanks for the great feed back. Me and my youngest son even made the local news.

Here is the link to the video.

The first explosion is a series of 10 shots. The second series is 18 shots. Each image is displayed for 150 milliseconds.
