Really windy day at the beach!

In color the sand blended in so much that you couldn't really get a sense of just how windy it was. Converting to b&w and increasing contrast a bit allowed the grains of sand to be "frozen" enough to convey the actual conditions. Laying on my belly to get the shot also filled my ears and goatee with sand! Plus called for a good camera cleaning! :-)

Great shot. I can almost see the sand grains actually jumping around. That is what I thought when I saw the capture before I even read your post.
