How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Harry --- Thanks for the nice photos. Wood storks are among my favorites. Is it just you and I who would call them "that lovely bird"? Where I used to live on the Caribbean coast of Panama the great treat was to watch pairs of these big birds soaring in graceful spirals over the mangroves. --- John

Nice job Harry thumb.gif I really enjoy the whole nest building, chicks, etc. thing. Are you going to let us know when the "phoot exhibit" is ready to go?

John, you and Harry are not the only ones who think they are a "lovely bird." I really like them. We have not had any around since the Black Vultures started gathering here at our ponds (last Fall?). The Vultures came and the Storks went. At least the Vultures are gone now.

    Excellent woodies, Harry! thumb.gif

They are appropriately named...considering their heads and beaks look like they were carved out of a block of wood.:D

I like these a lot, Harry! Great shots, and what amazing birds. It's easy to believe they might have descended from dinosaurs. They look so...primitive, I guess.

I love capturing wood stork images. They are a very unique bird. I love the swooshing sound their wings make as they fly by.

Thanks Jim. I already have some info on the new exhibit up here.

I'll be doing a post about the exhibit shortly.

Thanks much, having observed bird behavior for awhile I can see their relation to dinosaurs quite easily.
