Have just come back form my first time in the Everglades after a 10 day stay in Sth East Florida.
A magic place for wildlife.:thumb

C & C most welcome

Cheers
Marc

Green Heron chicks branching out.
Many thanks to Joanne Williams and her "Fotoboat" for a fabulous 2 days, highly recommended.
I was perched up on the poling platform at the stern of the boat to get a better angle for this shot, I would have wished for a less busy BG, but, hey.......that's their environment.

Great shots! The BG compliments the birds, I think. Makes them a little more mysterious.

That's a baby gator, so cute!

I'm looking forward to a similar trip a few hours south of where I live to the deep bayou in southern Louisiana.

Fun stuff Marc - thanks for sharing! I'd seen adult Green Herons once at the pond behind my house, but never chicks or juveniles. You gotta love those eyes! :-)

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Nice series. Looks like you had a good day. I love the green heron. You captured a signature characteristic of theirs i.e. hanging on to perches at weird angles. Well done thumb.gif
