Painted Bunting ~ While not great quailty, I am proud as this is my first painted bunting

Little Blue Heron ~ This little one surprised me. This bridge at the refuge was blocked off due to flooding. I was walking across to see if I could see the great horned owls nest, or if the tree was even still standing.

I like the second one the best Donna thumb.gif The third one is a bit hot on the beak, although the rest of the bird looks quite good. The first one is oof probably because of the barbed wire.

Love the little blue and any painted bunting is good. Keep working at it. They are skittish. I found mine today but none would give me a good shot.

thanks, yes, the 2nd is my favorite also. I noticed the 3rd once I got it posted... I didn't think it was so bright before then. Maybe it was getting the 2 next to each other. I'll have to go back and work on it.
The bunting, yes, the wire didn't help, and he was a far enough away that I had to really zoom out with my little camera and that always loses some. He sure was pretty though!

Thanks. the little blue gave me a good background at least. I wanted to get closer, but I didn't want to upset the poor guy. They seem to be having a hard time finding a place to settle with the water so high. The bunting was in the road when I came up on it. I was wondering what it was from a distance. When it flew I just gasped. So pretty.
Don't know about your part of Texas, but the sun is shining here. I am ready to get out and ride around, see what I can see. :D

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
