Like #3 a lot, wonderful color and symmetry. clap.gifclap.gifclap.gif

#5 not sure if it needs straightening, or if I'm looking at barrel distortion, or if the bridge is naturally that way. ne_nau.gif

    Thanks for sharing!

MarkR: Thank you! I'm not 100% sure what you mean by barrel distortion. If you are talking about the slight arch of the bridge, then that is how the bridge is built. Otherwise, I'm lost. Could you please explain exactly what you mean? I'm still fairly new to all this.

Dogdots: Thank you! I had a great time wandering around pressing the shutter button.

I was referring to the bridge bulging in the middle. Wasn't sure if it was barrel distortion (wide-angle lenses tend to distort in that fashion) or if that is how the bridge is built.

Obviously you answered my question! deal.gifthumb.gif

Gotcha! That makes sense. It was shot with a kit 55-200 around 150-ish if memory serves me correctly. Thanks for the explantion too!

Love Charleston!! thumb.gif I like the water fountain the best but the door was a close second. The colors and the light for #1 is nice. The door knocker adds to the shot even though its small. (looks familiar really!).

I like the fountains the best. The water seems frozen, the other fountain blurred in the the background! I think it works well! Good shots!
:patch Searching for that one shot that counts. The never ending quest to make people say "wow".:huh

Thank you! I took one of the water fountains without the water running and thought for fun I'd try it with the water running. I'm glad I did. The door was down an alley that was rather long. There was a long brick wall that was who know how old just past the building that had the door. There was a play house directly across the alley from the building with the door. And you are right, Charleston is a fun town!
