How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

It must be great to have access to the breeding grounds of these birds.

Artistically, I like the way the cattle egret nest and the woodstorks were taken. My two favorites for style. Technically all are great as always.

gotta go, see about the challenge. no birds tonight.

    great series, Harry,

Jeff, the parent birds think they are beautiful. They probably don't think in terms of cute.

I think the egret chicks are cute. I love the storks lined up. With that bird it is a good thing there were a lot of babies, though I don't understand why.

Still is a good series, Harry.

Jeff, sorry, Harry, is this right? Birds are descended from reptiles........like the dinasaurs........

I wonder if they started sprouting those bits of feathers as the evolved. An osprey baby is unbelievably prehistoric. I do think the baby egrets are kind of cute, fluffy white things. The rest certainly do not appeal.

The woodstork is so ugly, maybe those babies are an improvement. Not really, I agree.

If you are a literalist, or whatever it is called, none of that above applies, they were created on one of god's busier days.

The parents just look like they adore those babies, though. That is interesting to me. The parents behavior. Remember The Ugly Duckling, they, ducks, are birds.

Thanks Ben. I'm glad Laura enjoyed the tri-colored chicks. Tell her that you can get your own with a D2hs. :D Get used to the silent treatment. Linda hasn't spoken to me since I closed the deal on the 500mm. Of course its hard to talk when you have fainted. rolleyes1.gif I think the shock was too much for her. ne_nau.gif

Yep, Ginger, birds are descended from dinosaurs. The great egret chicks always remind me of the raptors in the Jurrasic Park movies.
