255 BIF & Goose Butt

Blew the white on the bird, but ya know I did it on-purpose just seemed to fit the overall look, do ya folks agree or not :dunno

    I'm glad you got the butt shot out of your system anyhow. I know its a hard habit to break. Look at poor Jeff, he's hooked for life. We may have to send him to a rehab center. :D


    You know how I feel about blowouts. :nono But in some situations they can't be avoided. Your shot is a good example where the background in the shot is as important as the egret. If you properly exposed for the egret you would have lost the background. I do feel that you were a tad overly enthusiastic about blowing out the egret though.

    Yeah enthusiastic not about the blowout :nono but about the fact I'm seeing in the VF the way I want it and controlling EV to bring it home. No longer just luck, man I'm excited about that :D

    I know what you mean. That's a big, big step in getting the shots the way you see them when you hit the shutter release. thumb.gif
