I am in Athens, GA for a 2-week workshop. Instead of going with the group to Stone Mtn on the weekend, I snuck off by myself to do insect macros at the State Botanical Garden. I never knew dragonflies were so beautiful even the ones whose eyes appear black to the naked eye.








A fearsome little jumper staked out the upper story of the same plants every morning.



and waterstriders patrolled the surface of a concrete pond.
