Terns, ice and beaches

I went up to the lake (Lake Manitoba) yesterday and got some shots that I'm very happy with. These are some of my favorite photos that I've taken as I haven't been seriously into photography for very long, and have only had my hands on a DSLR for a few months.

It was a chilly 40F out, and windy, and the birds were swooping all over the place. There's still some ice in the water near the beach from last winter, which you can see in one shot.

I would love some help in identifying some of these birds. Thanks. :)

Thanks! I'm glad I captured the cold, for it was quite bitter. I'm fond of #6 as well.
