Ours ants are small at around 2 - 3mm. The advantage is, they don't bite
So for scale against a pencil tip ...... complete with vignetting :wink
Closing into the head area
And head on, face to face. Cute really :wink
Then sneaking up alongside to catch the eye
And finally a small play in Photoimpact with a few ant shots
All the best macroholics, keep them coming.
Danny.

Our ants are only as big as yours too, they're black but the sugar ants are sort of the colour of the ones you posted, however the black ones do bite, I know cause I make the mistake of touching the lock on the garage door all the time and those little black ones are using it as a pathway to who knows where they sure smart when they bite :cry but squishing them stops them from doing it again
I love those squares and spheres you make Danny, great Macros as per usual from you Skippy (Australia)
