make Drag&Drop uploader default?

Is there a way to make the "Drag & Drop" uploader my default?

I know I can manually select it each time, but is there a way to make it the default? The good ole' "Drag & Drop" seems to be the only one that doesn't crash randomly when I upload using Firefox.

BTW, whenever I try "Simple" (which is nice), it crashes the browser after a few images (random number of images gets uploaded). This happens if I use Firefox or Safari (on Windows).

I know that "Drag & Drop" is "retired" ... but it works much better (more reliable), IMHO.

Thanks.

That uploader will be retired soon, I'm sorry :(
Try this one, it's our newest: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=126990 and we'll be making this the default very soon.

If you're having crashing issues in Firefox, have you tried updating your Java?
Follow these steps to make sure your java is up to date for a PC:

    1) Go to http://www.java.com

    2) Click on "Do I have Java?" and wait for the test to run.

    3) Follow the steps to get the latest version of Java if you need it.

I already have the current Java.

BTW, it crashes with Firefox and with Safari. Today, I tested and it ("Simple" uploader) crashes with IE7 also.

Curious ... is the new one going to be similar to the "Drag & Drop" code or more like the "Simple" code?

Very cool uploader! I just tested a batch of 39 photos and it went flawlessly. :ivar

Thanks. I hope this one will work for larger batches too.
