    Don't know what it is, either, but he sure is scraggly! Great shot.

    My first thought was fledgling Red-winged Blackbird. It looks like those we see here, except ours usually have some yellow on the gape.

    Still the way it's feet are on the twigs, the bill, several things lead me to that ID.
