Any suggestions on what are today's best Stock Photography Houses to become a part of?
Any feedback on pros and cons of each house or feedback in general on being a part of a Stock Photo place is helpful.

Your experiences you have had?

Thank You,

Jeff

Note -- I do not have any photos in stock agencies, but have some friends that do... I find that people either love micro-stock or think that it's the downfall of photography because it is ruining the craft by sucking the creativity out of photos and devaluing the art.

thomas hawk has a good read on Flickr/Getty and a stock agency that I wasn't aware of which seems to pay more than the 20% of most stock agencies.

Also, i have some friends with istock and I believe they are the market leaders for the general public.... I believe the contributors a base royalty rate is 20% for each file downloaded. The photo itself sell for between $1-$27.

There are some people that make a decent living with micro-stock, but I think people like Yuri Arcurs are very rare.

And smuggy might get into the game one of these days..
