Tree Frog, Need Help Cropping

My question is about cropping. Not a little disappointed that I could not get an angle where that blade of grass wasn't over his back. I did my best to make sure his head and eyes were in focus. I was just so excited that a friend pointed this little guy out---I never see them when I go by myself. The original shot has him smack in the middle of the frame. When I went to crop, I liked the texture of the lighter grass below him (you can't see it in this one). [BTW, the original is SOOC RAW converted, I didn't do any correction. I know it's dark.]

But I'm trying to follow the "rules" and it seemed if I cropped him so he was in the top of the frame on the left, he looked as though he was going to hop up out of the top.

What would you do?

Remember, you can rotate a crop too. I would have seen how a little CCW rotation would look.

    Ric,

Thank you for taking the time to look and lend advice---I crop all the time, but I never EVER thought about rotating. I really do learn something every day! I actually had to google CCW, I had never seen that term before. :)

Now I can keep working on lots of boring shots with these rotations.

Here's a start. I think it's already way more interesting. I was able to keep the lighter grass in the frame, though I think he's too centered. I'm going to keep working with it. Thanks!
