Just read this on engadget, will control the camera from your iPhone via WiFi if said camera is plugged into a computer with their free server software.

Looks like they will have a $1.99 shutter only version, and a $9.99 multi-function version.

Okay, if you’re wondering how it works, here’s a quick run down.

You need either an iPhone or an iPod Touch
You need a supported Canon EOS DSLR [ 1 ]
A laptop or desktop computer running the free companion DSLR Remote Server software
A USB cable to connect your supported Canon EOS DSLR camera to the computer running the free server software

Not sure I would find that practical, but interesting anyway.

    Thanks,

    Thanks,

    Not everything cool is practical.:D
Perhaps one day they will eliminate the need for the computer with a direct wifi grip to iPhone app.

"From your iPhone you can control settings such as shutter speed, aperture and white balance.
You can of course fire the camera shutter as well. If you have a Canon EOS DSLR camera that supports Live View
you can even get a live stream of the camera’s viewfinder on your iPhone."

I can't actually think of a use for this.

But, I think it would be really cool just sitting in an armchair with a coffee while the camera sits on the tripod and just casually saying; "OK Naomi, up with that arm, twist a little left, give me some attitude" CLICK!

Also, the client couldn't tell if you were taking images or playing tetris!!

I love this idea, just wish there was a way to do it without having to be tethered to a computer! lol...

Love the option to have the live camera feed sent to the phone!
