I was using the basic uploader where you can click and drag stuff onto the page. I dragged 1248 items onto the page and for some reason after the upload was complete (without any errors) I only see 1081 pictures in the album. Any ideas as to where the other files went or a way to easilly tell which files they were? I don't particularly want to look through all 1248 pictures to find out which are missing.

What is the best way to upload pictures in everyone's opinion?

There is a page in your control panel that shows what errors were received upon upload on what images.

This very upload issue is why I use StarExplorer as my uploader. When I uploaded a thousand images (which I sometimes do for events) and it gets upload errors on a few, it leaves the problem images in the upload queue sitting on my screen so I don't have to manually sort out which images didn't upload properly. IMO, this is required feature for a robust uploader.
