Thumbs Plus: Does ANYONE Use It?

I've been using Thumbs+ for 15 years, first as an organizer, then to make minor modifications to photos. By "minor" I mean, cropping, and contrast and brightness. Haven't fooled with colors. For 12 years, my brother and my one kid who's a professional graphic designer have been telling me to get PhotoShop. I have Essentials or whatever the basic is, but I think it's much more difficult that Thumbs+. And (by all means) call me whatever, I'm a purist and think that a photo was either good enough when taken and needs minor modifications, or should go into a tertiary file (or be tossed). I've been shooting for 55 years. It's hard to change. Is there anyone in this forum who uses Thumbs Plus? Anyone anywhere? I was thinking of upgrading to get better RAW capabilities, but then the brother and kid come up again with all the great things that PS will do. (Photos at www.ethanwinning.com)

Now I use Lightroom for photo organization (cataloging) and the majority of my post processing. In fact I would say Lightroom is more similar to Thumbs+ than Photoshop. You might want to look at it as a replacement. If I had to decide between Thumbs+ and Lightroom, Lightroom would definitely win.
P.S. I was born in Walnut Creek!
Thanks a lot. I'll give it a look tomorrow. Now all I have to do is scan 5,000 slides (1960-2001)... There's no emoticom that fits that chore.
And now you're in Las Vegas with my brother-in-law. (If you see any shots taken with a $5k Nikon where all the people are missing heads and/or feet, he took them.) We lived in Vegas in the good old days, 1966. Was there for four months when somebody offered me a job in Downey. When's the last time you were in WC? Before or after the Yuppy takeover?
Thanks for the suggestion, but I tried Picassa and, maybe it's no longer true, but when I first tried it, Google darn near took over my computer. Picassa is just about the same layout and capabilities as the software that came with my Canon S3 IS, and I do like that ... to a point.
