I recently switched from Canon to a Nikon D700 and am blown away by how good the pics look with the 50mm 1.4. Are these good or am I fooling myself? Some images have been cropped but other than that these are straight off the card with no alterations. ISO set to auto, WB set to auto, just playing with Aperture priority and firing away.

The black and white cat was born without eyes so that's why she looks like that. The tabby (his name is Rufus) has some sight issues as well, so they make a great pair.

Crystal clear, just gotta dig that DOF.

Oh, that gray tabby makes my heart ache. He/she looks just like the first cat (and only cat) my husband and I had, he died very prematurely from bladder stones.

    Great shots.
Please ignore my opinions! And if I ask for constructive criticism, please give it to me. I have really thick skin! :huh
