Ooops...how do I fix this now?

Sup All,

I tried to be "clever" and got nipped in the butt for it later on. Let this be a warning to others who will try what I tried.

I had a green background that I wanted to blow away and make it white. So I placed a flash at an angle behind the subject and blew out the green into white.

When I saw the picture on the computer, I can see the green color now backlighting my subject and somewhat coming on the face.

How can I fix this without destroying the colors?

I have PS CS3, Nik Color Effects pro. Appreciate any help. Picture is attached so you can see.

    Thanx.

I did try all those methods and was spending too much time. I googled and came across this link: Photo Filter method

    That trick worked right away!!!

Once again, thank you for your help.

Here is my try at it.
find the black point ( wrinkles in the gown )
find white point ( diamond in the tie )
use curves to eliminate the green cast in the image.

    kwcrow...excellent job.

Here what I ended up finally with (not the exact picture, but had the same stupid green cast.

I had to manually select him out of the background cause the edges turned out to have green highlights too.

Much better skin tones in this one.
Nice job of replacing the background.
The background color matches the lighting.
My only CC is maybe a little harsh on lighting between light and shadow.
Maybe some shadow highlight in PS would do the trick.
    Very well done though.

Thanx. It took a long time to separate him out of the background!!! Boy..had to use the lasso tool, magic want, background eraser, poly lasso, eraser, quick mask and so on.

The background was actually much brighter. I ended up using the "Render Lighting" filter and adjusted until it looked "natural" to me. Then applied a little Gaussian Blur to the background.

As for him, I actually did do some burning, but was afraid to do more. You are right though...I could have gone a bit more.
