I have a gently used Canon 70-200 f/4.0L lens. I LOVED this lens...it is super sharp and I had great fun with it. The only reason I'm selling is because I recently upgraded to the f/2.8 version...I honestly cannot say that the 2.8 is all that much better, if any, though! The 2.8 is soooo heavy, whereas the 4.0 is super light! It's a fabulous lens. Here's a link to a blog post in which I used the 70-200 f/4.0: http://www.janscottphotography.com/blog/2009/01/18/sledding/

I also used it several days on my Project 365 blog: www.jansproject365.blogspot.com.

I haven't taken pictures of it yet, but I can if you are interested. Here's a link to the lens on BH:
    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/183198-USA/Canon_2578A002_70_200mm_f_4_0L_USM_Autofocus.html

It comes w/ the original box, manual, lens hood, leather/suede cover, and UV filter. I'm asking $500, shipped. If you want to check me out, I'm moon880 on E-bay.

Okay here are some photos. I accidentally left my camera on ISO 1600, but I think you get the idea! Someone PM'd me about a date stamp...I'm not sure what that is, but I tried to take pictures of all of the numbers on the lens.

    Date Stamp
The date stamp is in your next to last photo. Look on the black ring around 11:00. It should be stamped into the ring and start with something like UVxxxx or UWxxxx. The second letter tells you the year it was made and the first two numbers tell you the month. Check out the link below to see what year it is. Hope this helps.
