I have some friends who have been and they tell me it's wonderful. I tried to go the week it opened but the talk was supposedly full when I tried to reserve it. My friend showed up and walked right in without a reservation.

The space is much smaller than I imagined but laid out nicely with a really nice multiple video presentation of each artist in addition to the gallery hangs.

Cool place. The idea of the Microsoft Touch Tables is good, but the resolution is way too low to be of any use when viewing photography, IMO.
What an amazing collection of work, though.
It was great to see the prints up close, although only a small fraction were actual framed prints, the rest were displayed on HD and 7xHD displays.
The one that really shot me through the heart was Carolyn Cole (click the view her images link). Her images were just incredible. The small versions linked just don't do her justice. The sweat dripping on the painted soldier's face was popping off the print. More of her work is here.
I also liked what John Baldessari said (paraphrasing): The better you get at your craft the more you develop a sense of the tasteful, and the harder you have to work to escape the taste.
Anyway, well worth a visit. They said that they'd be live streaming the video we saw (profiles of each photographer in their own words and images), so keep an eye out for that if you can't visit in person.
