online self publishing companies

I have used blurb before in creating a photobook. Just a one off deal for my fiancee. However, I am about to start a book and am wondering are there better alternatives out there in regards to print quality, price and ease of distribution. I found lulu.com and liked the idea of an isbn and selling on amazon as well but have never used them.

Any ideas, recommendations or sites to stay away from?

Any and all advice welcome.

    What sort of book?

    A DGrin search, or, Custom Google Search on Dgrin, for 'lulu' will show lots of threads also.
