new nikkor 105mm VR!! holy crap

i just have to announce that i have the best wife in the world
its my bday tomorrow, and she set up a fundraiser with my family and friends, and she pooled the money together and got me a shiny new 105mm vr macro lens!

i am in disbelief, i have been saving (without much luck) for forever for this lens, and now i actually have it!

i will post pics later and my first impressions, once i settle down a bit

so, my first impressions are;

i looooove this lens! i think i took around 150 shots today since i got it! it is such a difference going from my reversed 50mm to this! the build quality is great, the picture quality is superb, the focusing is super fast and quiet! i dont think i have any complaints so far!

i have to go through the million shots i took today, and i will post some soon
