Just back from a week in the Georgia mountains. Found some great (unexpected) waterfalls. I always wanted to try my hand at these shots. Thanks out to Shay for his help with the B+W ND filters.

Any thoughts?

I like the shot a lot. I wish there wasn't so much foliage in front of the water though. I'm allos gonna move this to the landscapes, city scapes ... froum

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Execelent shot! I really like the motion blur to the leafs as well, it adds a unique, fairy tail quality to the shot (imho).

    Long exposure stuff's a blast, ain't it! clap.gif

I've never taken shots like this before. They were a blast to take. The only downside was hiking with all the gear. I have new respect for the Yosemite gang.

    Mitchell,
Great set of waterfalls. Looks like you have the ND filter dialed in. Love that silky water.

Thanks Thomas! I drove through rainy Valdosta today on my way home! I have a 2 and a 4 ND filter. These shots were all taken with the 2. The 4 is so dark that I am completely unable to see through the viewfinder. How does anyone actually use this filter?? Truly a waste of $70 in my hands.

Never used one myself. Maybe compose & focus on tripod and then put the filter on? I'm glad you got to enjoy our wonderful weather :). Looks like you had a fun trip.
